Got up early at around 6 to check out the beach. Thought I can have the whole beach to myself since it’s still early but no, the crowd is already slowly streaming in at 6.30am. There were people jogging, tanning and playing with the wave. Gosh the wave looked big but the people manage to walk quite far out. Decided to give it a try and indeed the water is quite shallow, just that the wave is really high! It really fun playing in the wave but it’s also quite cold. Enjoy the morning sun for awhile to get myself dry before I had an Aussie breakfast at this café just next to the beach. Mainly locals having their breakfast here while reading the papers after their morning run at the beach. What a great way to start the day! And I simply love the sumptuous breakfast but of course it cost more la (more than 10 bucks!) Had a drink called Affrogato- espresso over ice cream.
After breakfast, I ready to set off to Movie World! Took a local bus that will specially bring people to all the “worlds”. So not only tourist but the locals love these places as well!
Bought a combo ticket to Movie World and Sea World. Have yet to fulfill my craving for dolphins. Thought it’s a big place but not really. Mostly rides which I’m not into but still manage to spend a lot of time there – shopping! So many cute stuff there to buy and wish I can buy everything back! Also managed to catch some shows here and there. Shrek 4 D show is very much like our Sentosa’s4D show and the prelude at the dungeon was interesting. After breakfast, I ready to set off to Movie World! Continue part 2 of my shopping spree at Harbour Town. Had to change some local buses before I reach the factory outlet. It is HUGE! There are so many shops there and I have so little time! Just as I’ve read in Internet, it is strongly advisable to identify the shops that you want to check out on the map and head straight to them. If you go down the rows of shops one by one, one day would probably not enough! And I have only 2 ½ hour to spend here! Chiong ah! Haha. Manage to grab 2 pairs of Ninewest, Fossil watch, Addidas and some dresses as well as a Polo for Dad before the shuttle comes down one by one at 5.30pm. Only the supermarket is still open but everything sold in boxes. Long queue too. Decided to surrender and took a bus back to hotel. Better pack my luggage properly tonight so that I can weigh it tomorrow at Brisbane Bus Terminal to make sure it’s not overweight. Sea World tomorrow? Sleep early then.
